David has passion of sharing knowledge and helping people achieve an attitude of excellence in their lives – be it at work or on the personal front.
He employs a combination of experiential activities, action-focused exercises and at times, reflection and contemplation, amongst other facilitating skills, to challenge participants' mindset regarding their respective organizations as well as personal effectiveness enhancement.
He has trained in areas of customer service, creativity and problem-solving skills, effective work mindset and supervisory skills.
David has facilitated workshops in both government and private bodies, namely ST Kinetics, Cathay Organizations Holdings, Plaza Hotel, New Park Hotel, Grand Plaza Hotel, Goodwood Park Hotel, Singapore Prison Services, EM Services Pte Ltd, Tanaka Electronics Ptd Ltd, Tanah Merah Country Club, Orchid Country Club and SBS Transit Ltd (Rail & Bus).
David's work experience started in 1990, where he worked as Food & Beverage Manager on 5 Luxury Cruise Ships operated out from Fort Lauderdale – USA. Personally opened 2 ships (Renaissance 4 and Renaissance 6), he handpicked and trained hotel service crews from 14 different nationalities and forged them into a cohesive team. On the HRD front, he completed his cruise contracts and started work as hotel trainer in the Parkroyal Group of Hotels, namely Grand Plaza Hotel, Plaza Hotel and New Park Hotel. David also spent 3 years with SBS Transit Ltd where he was instrumental in establishing customer service systems in their Bus and Rail Business Areas as well as facilitating other HRD interventions.
David completed Course Leader's Course with SIM and holds professional qualifications in Hotel and F&B Management (IHTTI) from Switzerland and is ACTA certified.
