The Leadership & People Management (LPM) Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) framework is designed to benchmark corporate leadership capabilities and chart leadership development roadmap for business leaders.

It enables leaders and managers to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and practices through structured and peer learning. It also allows them to gain formal recognition of their competencies through modularised competency training programmes within a nationally recognised framework.

ODC is pleased to offer 7 modules of the Skillsfuture Leadership programme that provide progression to WSQ LPM Professional Diploma in Leadership & People Management and WSQ Advanced Certificate in Team Leadership. The 7 modules are :

HOW THIS PROGRAMME HELPS ?

This 2-day programme aims to equip the learners with the skillsets to lead team planning activities to develop operational plans so as to achieve team objectives. It also includes building team support and commitment towards the defined objectives and demonstrating leadership and organisation values through one's actions.

The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications

The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is a national credential system that trains, develops, assesses and certifies skills and competencies for the workforce. As a continuing education and training (CET) system, WSQ supports the SkillsFuture movement to:

  • Promote recognition of skills and competencies to facilitate progression, mastery and mobility;

  • Promote holistic development of the workforce through technical and generic skills and competencies;

  • Support economic development by professionalising skills and competencies to drive industry transformation, productivity and innovation efforts; and

  • Encourage lifelong learning.

Training programmes developed under the WSQ system are based on skills and competencies validated by employers, unions and professional bodies. This process ensures existing and emerging skills and competencies that are in demand are used to inform training and development under WSQ. With the roll out of the Skills Frameworks in 2016, the WSQ adopts the skills and competencies covered in the Skills Frameworks. The WSQ programmes are funded and quality-assured by SkillsFuture Singapore, which awards the WSQ certifications.

WSQ LPM - PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

Learners who are certified ‘Competent’ at the end of the course will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) under the WSQ LPM framework. There are six Competency Units (CUs) within Level 4 under the LPM framework, namely People Change Management, Personal Effectiveness, Cultivate Workplace Relationships and Diversity, Vision Leadership, People and Performance Management, and People Development. Learners will be able to attain the WSQ Professional Diploma in Leadership and People Management once they have attained the SOAs for all six CUs above and SOAs for two elective CUs (WSQ Levels 3-5). 

 

WSQ LPM - ADVANCED CERTIFICATE IN TEAM LEADERSHIP

This module is forms part of WSQ Advance Certificate in Team Leadership. Learners who are certified ‘Competent’ at the end of the course will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) under the WSQ LPM framework. There are six Competency Units (CUs) within Level 3 under the LPM framework, namely Personal Effectiveness, Vision Leadership, Organisational Relationship Building, People Development, People Change Management, and People and Performance Management. Learners will be able to attain the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Team Leadership once they have attained the SOAs for all six CUs above and SOAs for two elective CUs (WSQ Levels 2-4).
