Max Gui

Consultant

Max is an experienced business leader with diverse exposure to different industries.  He has worked for more than 25 years in more than 10 different organizations, ranging from 3rd Party Logistics, Industrial Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Consumer Goods, Defense and Education.   He enjoys working and creating value together with companies and individuals.  His specializations include strategic management, leadership management, process re-engineering and supply chain management.

 

Max led Keppel Logistics as its CEO for more than 5 years, and he was also the business head for Keppel Sea Scan, being its director/ general manager for 3 years till 2017.  He held other key positions as vice president (strategic development) at Toll Logistics, senior consultant at Republic of Singapore Air Force and regional supply chain leader at both General Electric (Plastics) and British America Tobacco.  Over the last 5 years, Max has re-focused his career onto the areas of consulting, education and training, where has worked with several companies and educational institution.

 

Strategic management is one of his key specialization, where he has experience leading the strategic transformation of companies under his charge, as well as advising companies on their business strategies and growth plans.  Max is also familiar with various strategic initiatives such as merger and acquisition, joint venture establishment, entry into new markets and major capital investment.

 

People leadership is another passion for Max.  He has managed and led workforce of more than 1,000 headcount, comprising of various qualification levels and ethnicities and across multiple geographies.  He enjoys especially in helping younger potential leaders to develop into their maximum potential, by sharing his experiences and knowledge with them.  Max is especially keen in the area of mindfulness leadership.

 

Max’s business leadership experience is complemented by more than 20 years of functional experience in supply chain and logistics management.  He has worked in multiple supply chain roles, from planning, execution to 3rd Party Logistics, across diverse industrial sectors across Asia Pacific.  Max is currently an adjunct lecturer in Supply Chain with Singapore Institute of Management and member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, Singapore.

 

He had consulted for companies on supply chain re-engineering, merger & acquisition, new market entry, strategic visioning, etc.  With his diverse corporate and industries experiences, Max has set out to share these and work with companies and individuals to help them to keep abreast and stay relevant in the midst of technological changes, global and regional economic changes and intensified competition.
