Angus Carte


Angus is a veteran corporate consultant and trainer with over twenty years of experience and is recognised by his client as a business communication specialist.


Prior to becoming a consultant with ODC, Angus was the Vice President of Corporate Development for Academy of Certified Counsellors where he was responsible for the day-to-day running of the school.


In his corporate development role, Angus led the specification, design, MOE/SDF approval of new courses, conducted course previews in person and via internet webcast and liaised with overseas universities on course accreditation matters. To build awareness of the uses of counselling in companies, he wrote and conducted a number of half-day and full day courses for corporate leadership and HR practitioners.


Angus was previously the Head of Customer Service with Investamatic Holdings (S) Pte Ltd, an equities research information system company similar to Reuters where they serve fund managers and stock brokers. Angus was responsible for the designing and implementation of training for staffs and clients to enhance the organisation’s service level.


Angus also has experience in the healthcare sector. He was the Deputy Communication Manager from Napsbury Hospital in Hertfordshire, England where he also served as representative of the Confederation of Health Service Employees (COHSE) and sat on several of the hospital management committees.


Many participants enjoyed Angus’s high energy delivery and facilitation style and clients appreciate his passionate approach to inspire the participants.


Besides training, Angus is also a technology consultant and was previously an adjunct lecturer at James Cook University Singapore.
